Chana High School began its Certificate Program 5 years ago in response to the growing need to provide a quality experience that students could use to gain entry level employment in various areas.  In partnership with Sierra College and with assistance from a generous community, we are able to teach subjects and provide internships in fields where there are jobs available in Auburn.  The requirements of each program are different, but all require certain things:
-Course work involving the basic skills required for competency in the field
-An internship of 12 hours at a local business
   -A Career English course
-A Business Math component, developed individually by each certificate teacher, which can be completed as extra credit or in an Individualized Math class
-80% attendance in the term the certificate is earned
Chana offers certificate classes in the following areas:
   Electronics Assembly                                 Drafting
   Food Services                                           Greenhouse Technician
   Forestry Technician                                   Child Development
   Landscape Technician                                Animal Assistant
   Office Computer Certificate                       Sign Painting
