Desert Oasis High School is utilizing the Community Comprehensive Adolescent Parenting Program (CCAPP) to bring all necessary services to one location to better serve the needs of pregnant teens.  These services include, The County Pregnant Minor Program, Cal-Works, the Health Department Adolescent Family Life Program, Peri-natal Adolescent Substance Abuse Program, WIC, Child Development Services, referrals to Pioneer Health Center Teen Smart Program and the Central Union High School Infant and Child Care Centers.  This program is designed to further its pursuit of a comprehensive community approach linking current support programs offered through various Imperial County agencies with the educational services provided for teen parents and their children.  This partnership has been formed to support pregnant and parenting teens in their efforts to parent their children, complete their high school education and enter adulthood ready to be independent and economically self-sustaining.  CCAPP goals are to increase high school graduation rates of teen parents, to increase employability of teen parents, to increase their parenting skills and father involvement, and finally to reduce the number of subsequent pregnancies.
