There are three types of memberships in CCEA; Professional, Participating, and
School. The Professional Membership is designed for the educational employee,
certificated or classified, who supports continuation education as a professional
educator. Professional members receive a specially designed plaque, a numbered
membership card, a personal copy of the State Newsletter, and a discount registration for
the state conference along with a special President's Reception at the state
conference. Professional Members are the driving force behind CCEA and continuation
education. The annual membership fee is $50.00.
The Participating Membership is designed for education retirees and friends of
continuation education. Participating Members receive a membership card and personal
copy of the State Newsletter. The annual membership fee is $10.00.
The School Membership is designed to supplement the school's Professional Members by
bringing the entire school into CCEA. Member schools receive a school plaque and
copies of the State Newsletter to be shared among the staff. When a school joins
CCEA the district superintendent also becomes a CCEA member. School Memberships are
important because they provide the clout CCEA needs to represent continuation education
throughout California.
School Membership fees are based on school size as determined by the number of
full-time equivalent (FTE) teachers on the school staff. The following chart
outlines the fees:
